Balancing Shaft Bearing Temperature Monitoring Alarm & Recorder System
SELMA Balancing Shaft Bearing Temp Monitoring System offers the ability to continuously measure bearing temperatures in the balancing shaft. The system enables the ship’s crew to monitor temperature trends and readings via the system’s display unit. The system increases the safety by preventing damage to balancing shafts with continuous monitoring of bearing temperature, and can be connected to the ship’s Alarm Monitoring System and trigger alarms when pre-set values are exceeded.
Measured temperature values can be monitored from the system’s display unit, typically located in the front side of the system cabinet or in the Engine Control Console. Up to three engines can be connected to a single electrical cabinet with one local display unit.
Balancing Shaft Bearing Temp Monitoring System is an alarm system designed and developed for accurate measurement of bearing temperature values in the balancing shaft, ensuring maximum safe temperatures are not exceeded, thus securing the efficiency, reliability and longevity of the engine and introduces reduced maintenance costs as there is no need for intermediate bearing inspection between scheduled replacement intervals.
The monitoring cabinet is an integral part of the system. The temperature values are sampled by 4 temperature sensors for each engine, situated on the counterbalance shafts bearing. The system consists of one cabinet including all electronic equipment, alarm relay outputs, terminals for sensor connections along with system’s indication lights/buttons/system buzzer and the operator’s Touch Screen LCD panel in the front side (removable for console mount). Power and other system failures are indicated on designated alarm Led’s. Each channel has adjustable alarm set points with designated alarm Led’s for each one. The system is fitted with potential free change-over output relays for power failure, group alarms and for system failures.
SELMA Fuel Oil Storage Tanks Temperature Monitoring & Alarm System based on pipe surface sensors with fixed cables and Intelligent PLC HMI Control Panel (The Touchscreen can be mounted separated from Panel as Flush Mounted). The System as per your request will perform temperature monitoring on 4 or 8 Points as per ship particulars and minimum 2 adjustable alarms on 2 stages (Heated Fuel & Non Heated Fuel) plus Alarm History and measurements data log date/time (quick look from Touchscreen or Extraction of Data on USB Stick Excel File).
