Anemometer Recorder CCR// Anemometer and Wind Recorders for Cargo Control Room
Anemometer Recorder is designed for Tankers complying with ExxonMobil MESQAC E17 for recording and alarm of wind speed angle in Cargo Control Room.
SELMA Tank Protector is an integrated anemometer recorder and manifold pressure monitoring and recording system.
SELMA Wind and Anemometer Recorder complies with the latest ExxonMobil MESQAC Requirements for Tankers. It is installed in the Cargo Control Room implementing recording of existing Bridge Wind Instrument Signal (NMEA 0183 or Synchro / Analogue Signal).
Central Colour Touch Screen Monitor implements a Graphical User Interface (GUI) of recorded data and illustrates the values on Trends and/or Excel file.
SELMA Anemometer Monitoring Alarm and Recorder System comprises of state-of-the art control and instrumentation technology based on PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers).
SELMA Anemometer Recorder comes with maximum performance capabilities, implementing monitoring and alarm function operation:
- Main Display Unit (Touch Screen)
- Main PLC Control Panel
- Deck Ex Flash / Sounder
- SELMA MAE105 NMEA Processing Unit
- SELMA MAE111 Synchro / Analogue NMEA Converter (Optional)
System Design
Tank Protector is marine type approved by major IACS Classifications and provides the total solution for the ExxonMobil MESQAC sections:

Section E Safety and Security Management
E.17 It is Strongly Preferred that Anemometer display / monitoring repeater with a recorder (paper / digital) is available in the Cargo Control Room (CCR) and designed to be capable of setting a minimum of two desired alarms limits. This alarm should sound an audible and visual alarm in the Cargo Control Room (CCR) and on deck if the set limits are exceeded.
Section H Cargo and Ballast Systems
H.28 It is Strongly Preferred that vessels are fitted in their Cargo Control Room with a device capable of monitoring and recording the load / discharge manifold pressure.
H.30 Vessels MUST have fixed cargo tanks pressure monitoring equipment fitted on board with display unit installed in the cargo control room and designed to have within manufacturers set alarms (High and low) including additional setting of a minimum two desired alarms limits. This alarm should sound an audible and visual alarm in the CCR if the set limits are exceeded.
H.31 It is Strongly Preferred that vessels are fitted with IG tank pressure monitors on the bridge.
SELMA Tank Protector fully complies with and exceeds ExxonMobil MESQAC E.17, H.28, H.30 and H.31.
