SELMA implement design & development of Independent Bunker Tanks High Level Alarm System based on proven PLC Technology & Intrinsically Safe Level Sensors:
The Main Control Panel and Ex Isolator Barriers are installed in the Cargo Control Room and Intrinsically Safe Level Sensors are installed on Diesel Oil Tanks and Fuel Oil Tanks.
Independent high-level alarms MUST be fitted for all Cargo Tanks, Slop Tanks, Fuel & Diesel Oil Bunker Tanks in addition to the High Level Alarms Incorporated in the fixed/automatic Tank Gauging System.
The Independent High Level Alarms MUST be used during all Cargo, Slop and Bunker Transfer Operations and suitably located on deck and CCR to alert personnel conducting Cargo, Slop or Bunker Operations.
Independent High Level Alarms MUST be tested prior to Cargo, Bunker or Slop Operations, and the test properly recorded.
