SELMA Wind and Anemometer Recorder complies with the latest ExxonMobil MESQAC E17 & E1A Requirements for Tankers. It is installed in the Cargo Control Room implementing recording of existing Bridge Wind Instrument Signal (NMEA 0183 or Synchro / Analogue Signal).

Central Colour Touch Screen Monitor implements a Graphical User Interface (GUI) of recorded data and illustrates the values on Trends and/or Excel file. SELMA Anemometer Recorder Monitoring Alarm System comprises of state-of-the art control and instrumentation technology based on PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers).

Where the vessel has a CCR, it is Strongly Preferred that the CCR is equipped with an anemometer display and monitoring repeater with the capability to record (paper or digital) wind speed and direction. Dynamic Positioning (DP) vessels are Strongly Preferred to have additional anemometer displays on the bridge and in the engine control room designed to be capable of setting a minimum of two desired wind speed alarm limits with associated audible and visual alarms in the CCR and on deck if the set limits are exceeded.

Vessels MUST be fitted with an anemometer display or monitoring repeater in the CCR with the capability to record (paper or digital) wind speed and direction, and designed to be capable of setting a minimum of two desired wind speed limits with audible and visual alarms in the CCR and on deck if the set limits are exceeded.
